You’re likely to arrive via the John Lennon Liverpool Airport if you are coming in from Europe. There are many ways to get into the city of Liverpool from the airport:
Bus: There are multiple bus options from the company Arriva. On average, it will take you about 40 minutes to get to the city centre from the airport.
Train: Buses operate between Liverpool Lime Street (the train station that services the John Lennon Liverpool Airport) and the airport, shuttling passengers from either place. Here is information on the connecting buses. Once on the train from Lime Street, it will be less than 10 minutes to get into the city centre.
If you are arriving further afield, you may come into Manchester Airport and head on to Liverpool.
Liverpool is generally a safe city, but as with any unfamiliar area you should stay aware. If you run into any trouble, remember these phone numbers:
Ambulance/Emergency Medical Service: 999
Keep safe tips are the same as in any city - avoid flashing lots of cash around, don’t wear any flashy jewellery, and if travelling at night try to do so in a group or in well-lit areas.
