Before you visit the UK make sure you have all of your documentation: visas, marriage certificates, work permits, et cetera for your relocation to Cambridge. The visa process can take up to 14 weeks, so make sure you have left plenty of time to arrange this.
Make a doctor's appointment just to check up on your health before you travel.
Get all of the immunizations you require for travel, and make sure that when you pack you're following EU regulations.
Stansted Airport is the nearest airport & services European countries. It's about 45 minutes on train to get into Cambridge from Stansted Airport.
For international arrivals, you'll most likely come via Heathrow Airport - by train, this will take about 2 hours and 45 minutes to reach Cambridge.

Be aware at cash machines – shield your PIN and make sure no one is standing directly behind you.
Do not use unlicensed taxis – only black cabs can be hailed legally from the street, all other taxis must be pre-booked.
